I don't know if this is any help at all but......

I took a class with Wolfgang a few years ago. I was with him for I think 6 days, 1:1 I ended up with a Baidarka he designed for me. Because of his depth of knowledge it was a delightful time, He helped me figure out part of the important question--What kind of baidarka do you want?

We looked at several he had built over the years. He could clearly see I am 5'2" ish not a lightweight for my size, I think what prompted me to post was a vague memory of his sharing that he had adjusted a major component of the build to reflect my physical size/weight. I would not put money on it but I think it was the depth of the keel strip. We were trying to insure I would not end up with too much depth in relationship to my short upper body height. At that time he was in Alameda, CA had a shop in a building on the de-activated Naval base. I don't remember how I discovered his classes, but I bet if you could track him down he would be open to consultation or maybe just a chat. I found a copy of his book after taking the class with him. It was a wonderful experience. The connection to Wolfgang Brink makes my Baidarka just that much more special. Too bad life seems to get in the way of the one hour to get to the ocean and get out on the ocean.
