I used US Composites epoxy for 5 boats, and thought I liked it because it is about half the cost per volume of System Three. However, I got an orange peal surface that I could not seem to eliminate with any technique of applying or temperature control. I was using about twice as many coats (7) as other builders were suggesting, and then I did a lot of sanding. After reading a post by Rob, I used System Three to build a Petrel. I needed 3 coats and it produced a much smoother surface, and NO orange peal effect. I have concluded that cost per gallon is just about a wash.
