Strip: Plans vs Kit -- Cost Difference?

I'm 95% ready to pull the trigger on a Shearwater Sport Hybrid as my first kayak forray into building. This leaves me the remaining question of kit vs plans. I am leaning toward plans, for both cost and overall satisfaction of having done it myself. However, I am a bit curious as to how much I would actually be saving. I would not need to buy much in the way of tools already having a rather fully equipped woodshop.

So to those who have built from plans, how much do you figure you saved compared to the comparable kit?
