I do store it inside when I'm not going to use it within a couple of days unless I'm at my summer home. It's outdoors only about 30 days a year. I'm older and don't really have the best balance at times so the scratches come from my entry and exit in too shallow of water sometimes when it touches the bottom or shore. I don't mind too much a few light scratches but want it to look it's best for as long as possible.
