Some skegs have a slot and just slide out, but the low profile foils tend to need an axle bolt. The problem is how to make it removable, while at the same time waterproof. Rubber washers are not the answer, as they require pressure which can pinch the casing.

Recently a few handy solutions have appeared on this forum...
