I've tried water and thinners, niether of which make the weave disappear, looks like I will need to use epoxy, thank you. It's winter here in New Zealand, so a bit of heating is called for.

In cold conditions and small areas for coating I heat up a small bake bean tin with my heat gun,pump in one or two shots of hardener 207 then 105(west) and rapid mixup.this puts enough heat in to make the mix runny..I then put the heat onto the area of concern briefly,then apply as thin a coat of the epoxy so not to creat a run.Then a brush over with the gun to confirm that the fluid will allow micro bubbles to surface in time.this will be enough heat for enough time to do the best for your issue.I then let it cure in the cold.
