In Nick's book he provides points for plotting the shape of the tooling frames.
One comment is that the edge at the gunwale between the deck and hull can be with a "rolled" or radiused edge or a sharp edge similar to all stitch and glue plywood boats.
I don't think there was an exact definition, but the particle board frames my friend bought from CLC Boats has the gunwale "rolled" in the center of the boat. It transitions from about 1.5" radius next to the cockpit to a sharp corner at the bow and stern. So the first strip down on the deck had to transition from horizontal at bow and stern to vertical at the cockpit.

I found the continually changing radius required ~1/4" wide strips to make the changing geometry, using a heat gun to set the strip before gluing in place.

Might just be my poor technique. If anyone else has a better way I would be interested in learning.
