Normally the strips are laminated to the boat and clamped in place until the glue dries. All at one time. Usually it's a trick figuring out how to clamp the strips and they tend to be a bit slippery wet with glue, so wear gloves and be patient.

Good idea to set it all up and figure out how you want the clamps to work and do a trial run dry before you get everything covered in glue.
