Set your saw so the off-cut is the thickness you want. I did my coaming with 1/8x1/8 strips that were made on the table saw. I stacked 4 1/8 x3/4 strips together with hot glue on the ends then ripped the 2nd direction. I also used a new 0 clearance insert and a 6 1/4 blade that I had milled out to 5/8". Very thin curf. Alternated ash and a dark mahogany like wood that had to be supported by the ash. On this one I used oak to match the other trims. The blue styrofoam makes life really easy to keep things lined up.
