Owning an old home means you need to be an expert in all fields- electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, etc.! My house is made of granite stone which we call "Bluebitch" although actually it's "Blue Bit." Drilling holes in the walls requires a really good industrial hammer drill. I redid the floors which are heart pine. The whole place is rewired w/Romex and replumbed with PVC. A few more walls to paint, and I can take a breather.

The Bullet is similar in tippiness to the Naish Javelin http://naishsurfing.com/JAVELIN%2014.0%20GX-Performance%20Racing/ It is tippy enough that the fin you use is important to stability, but it is very fast. I would say "Kayak fast." I have had some experts paddle it and they were comfortable, but also have had some that were long-time paddlers who felt it was very tippy. For a beginner I wouldn't recommend it. Take a look at the Clearwater SUP from WSS: http://www.woodsurfboardsupply.com/clearwater_SUP.html I have not paddled it, but it looks more like what you're looking for.
