What's spring?

Ok, well most of our snow is gone and the water is mostly liquid barely. We don't even bother measuring our water temperatures until the end of April if then. Usually it's the first part of May before it's safe to get out on the water here. So few of us have dry suits that it's not a good idea to put the idea into the newbies heads that it's safe to be out paddling, so we hide.
