Good point on laying on a bias, Bill. Also save all cut pieces to lay up extra layers around the cockpit and outer stems. The clc kit does not much extra fiberglass.

It depends on the size of the 'leftover triangles' but I usually can glass the inside of the hull ends (certainly the deck inside ends) with the scraps after laying 60" fabric on the bias on the hull exterior.
On my last couple of boats, I've used leftovers in the hull ends and then laid a piece of 6oz athwartships in the cockpit area - the selvage edges make a nice clean transition and I like the heavier fabric in the cockpit for abrasion resistance.

As you say, the smaller bits are handy - I have a lidded plastic bin where I keep offcuts safe from dust and drips.
