Guy forgot to burp his dry suit.

And he was the 'safety swimmer'.....
In calm conditions like the pic shows, it's not a big deal to vent your neck gasket (one finger will do it usually, though a bit tougher with gloves on) when floating upright.
As Sean mentions, if your feet start floating, things get more tricky.....

Most places, I manage to 'wade in the water' (cue spiritual music..) and burp the suit before starting out. (great reminder if your drysuit 'relief zipper isn't closed properly also....I 'had that happen to a friend' one time.... ;-) )
