I have had that happen as well, which is why I always use a small piece of lumber between clamp and fiber-glassed parts now. To get rid of it, sand very carefully until the whitish spots disappear and then you could probably just add a little more epoxy to fill the void. Unless of course it isn't any larger than a dime in which I might add a small piece of glass for strength.
