S&G: Clamping causes weave to show

Hi there,

I recently was clamping the coaming riser to the deck. In a couple of spots where I used C-clamps to get the riser to meet the desk. Adjacent to the coaming in these high strain spots, The glass weave has come to the service. in one place you can actually feel the weave.

To make this all disappear should I sand down, back to the wood and put on a glass patch?

Thanks in advance.

Bill
