The most common pattern at this point is to fill one half now with strips extending past the centerline. Then the centerline is cut from end to end and the second half is filled with strips that must fit at both ends. You could run down the center and then fill both halves that would be shaped like half moons. This means more fitting of strips at both ends though. And there is the combination of strips running down center and along sheer line.
