Hey Howie. Yup. Same Kelvin. Building another Pygmy. A Borealis this time. I considered a strip-built boat this time but paddled one of these in Port Townsend and loved it. It's their "big guy" boat and although I haven't gained any weight since building the Tern, I haven't lost any, either. The longer cockpit and more foot room is what I should have had in the first place.

My tent is supported by the spine in four places along the 20' length. The spine is 2x2 but the ribs are 1x2. There's a lot less wood in mine than yours.
