Thanks for the note. I don't have any leftovers, so will need to fond suitable material. Was thinking that the strips would look more interesting (if not "upscale") when finished, compared to plywood. I got some pine boards that would make nice strips if I cut them, but I don't have a planer to smooth them, so will need to buy ready-made strips or go with plywood. CLC is not far, so I'll check with them to see what they can offer.
