Skin-on-Frame: New F1 build

Hi all, long time member on other forums such as woodenboat, lurker here until now. Posting because I am starting up a new project, building a Cape Falcon Kayak F1. This will not be my first woodworking project, but will be my first skin on frame boat. I've purchased everything I should need, fabric, sinew, shock cord (going to try it, can always replace with latigo in the future if I want) and goop from skin boat store, cedar for the gunwales and stringers as well as ash that I intend to use for ribs, a few of the deck frame bits, and hopefully some other projects (my brother is a raft guide, I want to build him a guide stick with the leftovers but that's another thread entirely) Looking forward to learning more from you all, it will be a slow project but it's not exactly kayaking weather here in Chicago anyway. I own a copy of the Morris book, however have heard that there are better techniques for determining rib length than his. Unfortunately am getting server errors when I try to open any of the archived threads on here discussing how to determine rib length. I was initially planning to build around a few forms/stations, lashing the gunwales, chine stringers and keels on in place and then bending the ribs in to fit, but am realizing that this is backwards when compared to most build threads I have seen, and will make it difficult to follow the plan of having the ribs morticed into the gunwales (plan was to separate the bow/stern after ribs are dry and slowly work them in down the length of the boat but this is seeming a more and more daunting/unnecessary task). I then thought to use Romex, metal strapping, or some other flexible yet rigid material to individually measure the ribs, but feel that there has to be a better /more mathematical way to figure this all out, I've heard beam plus the breadth of my hands at the knuckle, but since the Cape Falcon site talks so much about getting the dimensions right, I feel like this use of hand width to be somewhat arbitrary, as I know of at least two friends the same height/weight/inseam as me, with quite a variance in hand size. If it helps, I am 6'2 and 190 lbs, was planning on building as close to the measurements/H. Golden survey drawing that Brian Schulz so graciously provides as possible, unless the greater wisdom on here suggests changes. Use will be recreational and fishing (yes, I prefer to fish from a SinK though it seems the trend these days is for SOT fishing craft). Thanks in advance for any assistance or advice, I'll post pictures of the project when able, though none for a while, as a few boards laying on the floor isn't really boat porn.
