Yes, that is about the going rate these days. Good to know someone has the stuff. It was supposed to have been a cheap sustainable lumber, but the many start-ups that tried to grow it in plantations failed in part due to the lower than expected demand, and in part due to the long wait before it could be harvested and make money.

It's a hot commodity for surfboard builders and now kayaks as well. Great stuff to work with, lightweight, and holds up well in saltwater.

How would you say the strength of your batch compares to WRC? I have found it varies widely depending on growth conditions. I believe it needs a good seasonal change. The stuff I tried from the Deep South (cool- autocorrect capitalizes "Deep South"- must be programmed by a fellow southerner) was brittle.
