Hello I`m starting a yukon and was wanting to know aprox how much cedar I`ll need.I plan on trying and rip it myself.All I can find here is 1x12x8 wouldn`t it be better to find longer. Man I hope I`m not over my head here. I have the strong back built have the forms in position just haven`t secured them yet this thing keeps getting in the way WORK and its cold as heck here so time I get shop warm time to go to bed(LOL)
Now when you scarf is the scarf done flat side or edge angle I mean with strip on edge like this / Sorry if this don`t make sense.

What other options for wood do I have cypress?
