Marc,

Go onto the Greenland techniques forum, there's a link on Nick's site somewhere, there are free plans for the balance stool, it doesn't have to be all that tricky. Sit with your back against a wall and measure the distance from your back to your feet, that should be the length of the stool top, then the rockers are added to the bottom it's just a board top, not terribly comfy, but if it's a challenge to sit on you will be on the floor often enough to compensate .
