In Response To: Strip: Too much bevel on cheaters? (Phil)

First kayak mistake, again...

I was beveling the cheaters and was really proud of the look as viewed from the exterior side of the hull. When I hoisted it up in my sling for the week, I saw that I went too far on the bevel and the inside of the hull had a pretty large gap for my cheater. Question is,,, should I remove this strip or live with it, fill with epoxy later. I'm afraid that when I start fairing the outside, I'll start to reveal the larger opening underneath.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Phil

what is a cheater?
