I worked for a time in critical medical device manufacturing, where we used strong solvents and adhesives, and where we had various levels of clean rooms. The procedures were involved, but they ensured something like coming into contact with a chemical would be extremely unlikely to happen. Home shops just can't be set up with that level of safety. It's not that I don't take precautions, and that I'm not careful, it's just not possible to achieve that level of safety with the resources available to home builders.
So- try as we might- even with precautions we'll end up coming into contact with epoxy. That's just the way it is. While I use vinegar for a lot of things, as was already stated it does not work on components, only mixed epoxy. My hands down most favorite and effective method of cleaning skin are Fast Orange Wipes. They are very tough, they lift off the soil, don't just grind it around, and I don't know about you guys- but my shop doesn't have running water, so something that doesn't require it is a plus. I use them for cleaning other things off from my hands (oil paints) as well, and I find that they don't really dry out the skin the way that cream hand cleaners do.
