She's a derivative of the late Thomas Firth Jones' Chingadera canoe. I built one many years ago, on the porch of an apartment. It (or maybe just mine) had issues, but I liked the overall size and the hull shape - especially the large amount of tumblehome, which made paddling her very nice.

My version is skinned with a new 10oz polyester fabric that I was asked to test, and coated with oil based paint (over a base coat of PL Premium Construction Adhesive, which makes a very tough skin coating).

I'll be offering plans and kits eventually, though first I plan to revise the frame a bit for easier construction.
It should be noted that you can find plans for the original in TFJ's book "New Plywood Boats." When it comes to writing about boat design and building, Mr Jones was a better author even than Bolger, and I recommend all his books, even if you don't want to build one of his boats.
