H i Marc, cheater strips are easier to do than to explain, just hope I don't confuse or bore you so here goes: start by setting your shear, now set the 2nd strip but let it run straight at the bow, using a scrap piece of strip as a gauge place it on the very edge of the bow on top of the shear and bring #2 down to it and clamp it well, you now have a v with a 3/4 gap at the bow. To make the cheater use another piece of scrap that is longer than the v and less than 3/4" wide and slide this wedge in the v tight and bring it down to the shear and mark it at the bow, that is the length of the cheater, place the mark on the edge of a new strip and cut at the end of the wedge, now cut the cheater from top left to bottom right, that is the cheater now plane and sand to fit tight. Sorry to be so windy just hope this helps Nick R.
P.S. Kurt,I live in a mobile community in Ellenton Fl. which is 40 mi. south of Tampa Bay (go Bucs)
