I did a test last month using the shrink-wrap they use to winterize boats. The guy who did it does that sort of thing for a living. We wrapped it up, he took a huge (huge) propane torch to it, and bob's your uncle. Fine to paddle and roll until the skin gets slit. Might be worth taking it to a marina to have them do it. It would work great for an open boat.
