I am new to building kayaks. I would like to build a sea kayak. I love the lines in Petrel or Guillmot. I have a wood shop in my basement and have built several pieces of furniture for us and for others. So, I have some experience with working with wood. I will be using the kayak in a large lakes and rivers around Atlanta. I like to camp out and probably would use to do over night camping. I am 5'11" and 175 lbs. I think I like to build a strip version of Petrel or Guillmot. So, what would you all recommend? Would I be happy with a Petrel or Guillmot? Any feedback is appreciated.
