Tom I forgot to mention that I used an angle grinder and sand paper to feather the glued on pieces as per One ocean kayaks instructions and also to angle the Butt grabber U shaped piece so it would fit properly. Be careful using the grinder you will need a very light touch or it will run away and create fair sized gouges very quickly. I am speaking from experience.
