Hi Sean,

This is a common problem but easy to overcome. I have cut sticks and taped the ends so they will not be glued into place. I used the forms for correct dimensions. Install the sticks where the forms were and tie a string to them for easy removal. The sticks hold the hull out to the correct dimension and you can push or pull the hull to mate correctly. when everything is well aligned and taped to hold in place tack it all in place with epoxy spot welds at the seams. The spot weld epoxy is much like when building a stich and glue. When the spots have set maybe overnight pull out the sticks and complete the tape sealing of the seam. Then you can epoxy and glass the inside seam as you were planning too. Followed by the outside seam after sanding the transition smooth.

Good luck
