I just launched the Wee Robbie canoe I made and thought y'all might like to see it. This is a wonderful little double blade canoe. It tracks way better than I expected even paddling up or down river. That is probably from the extra fine pinched ends Rob designed into her. The stability is excellent. Now for the best part it is jaw dropping light. Mine came out 18.5 lbs with the wood backrest in place. I used western red cedar strips, redwood decks, cypress gunnels, 3.2 oz. glass and RAKA UV inhibited epoxy.
When I took it to the river everyone on the sandbar wanted to take a turn paddling it around. Even the kids took to it instantly. I built this for my teenage Daughter (yea right) to goof around in but Dad likes it too.

If you ever have a chance to check one out they are a blast to paddle. This is the perfect boat for sneaking up on that one fishing hole that is hard to reach.
