Hi Bohdan,

in New Zealand the main source of most native timber is from swamps.

Are you living in NZ?
I was going to mention swamp Kauri but.
Kauri is why New Zealand has such a great boat building heritage.It is the best wood for traditional boat building. [IMHO]We use "old" house weather boards when they replace them with tanilised Monterey Pine.
