Dear Brains Trust,
I would be grateful for advice on the treatment of the 'in-fill' area at the rear of the cockpit. The pic does not show that there is quite a bit of slope in the area (Expedition Single). At the moment my thinking is to use 1 or 2 thicker strips ...1/2 inch rather than 1/4 inch for the first and second strips so that there is enough 'meat' once the bevels etc are factored in.
I would appreciate advice , and pics (if possible) showing what others have done in this area. The 2nd plank shown in the pic is dry fitted at the moment.

To me it looks like your bevel is not at the right angle. If you hold another strip against the strip you have already attached, will it follow the edge of the accent strip? To me it looks like it will be below it. If that is the case you need to recut your bevels. If by meat, you mean glue surface making a compound bevel will make a longer glue surface.
