Well, the Retreat went ahead last weekend. We are not known for having great weather (generally cold and wet) but this year was really an exception. We ended up getting nailed with a snowstorm that dumped close to 8" of snow on us!! We managed to get a paddle in before it hit and we had to spend the rest of the weekend coming up with creative ways to fill the time. Travel was severely reduced so we stayed around the cabins. I did a presentation on both by Black Pearl and Point Bennett boats that was well received.

The image below is of Jim Kakuk, of the Tsunami Rangers, doing some "real" white water kayaking. Just after this he was snowshoeing. I'm guessing this was a memorable event for him as well!!
