Hi All,

My family is having an estate sale coming up in a couple of weeks. In it we have a vintage kayak that was built from a kit in the 1930's by my father & grandfather. We were asked if we knew the manufacturer and, of course, we don't. Wondering if anyone can provide me with names of kit manufacturers from that time period so I can do some research. I don't have a photo to post unfortunately. The best way I can describe it: about 18' long, streamlined, with a long rectangular opening (about 3-6" -4'? - my father called it a 2-man kayak) trimmed out in wood, skinned in white shellacked canvas. The keel is exposed wood. The paddle ends are tipped with brass.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

Thank you.

P.S. It is going up for sale around the same time as the Groton, CT event and is in a neighboring town. If anyone is interested (and it is not against the guidelines) I can provide them with further info.
