In Response To: Strip: Closing The Clam (James)

The hull had shrunk inward a tad on my OI as well ... not much though ... about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I just cut some spreaders and wedged and hot glued 'em into the hull every foot or so. At each location on the inside of the hull I slapped on a piece of duct tape ... that added a bit of extra friction to hold the hull in place ... and I hot glued the spreader to the duct tape. I also located the spreaders low enough in the hull to allow room to do the inside seam tape ... which I did before the outside seam tape. In the end it was no big deal.
