I think you are experiencing PRINT-THROUGH.

I read somewhere that it is thought to be partly due to epoxy continuing to cure every time it is exposed to higher and higher temperatures, especially in direct sun, and that it may also shrink over time as it continues to age and cure.

I have had the effect on my North Star using WEST. I have boats that are fifteen years or more old that it is not apparent on, using SP Systems.

I neglect my boats though. They are lucky to be revarnished every ten years. I am always more interested in my current project than the older boats. Life is just to short to be worrying about cosmetic maintenance.

Ther is always the option of stripping the old glass off after a number of years and reglassing, or sanding back and doing a nice paint job.
