Yes, it would turn easier and not track as hard. But there is a fine line between enough and to much and it is a personal preferences. I always thought Firefly was a little tight for my tastes. No one else has ever said anything though.

But it is easy to add a skeg to one. I did that on one boat that was turned to easy by the wind or stray wave. Started a little large and just trimmed it a couple of times till I found the balance I liked.
