How about a "Materials Forum" where folks can tell where they got boat building wood?

Its a good idea, but I'm not sure how I would implement it in a way that is better than what I currently have. If you do a search on "material cedar source" using the Search All Forums link ( http://www.kayakforum.com/search.shtml ) to the right; you will get a lot of links to cedar sourcing info. The search link to the left http://www.kayakforum.com/cgi-bin/Building/index.cgi/page/1/md/search only searches this forum and will produce similar results with "cedar source" (you need to leave off "material").

I know this is not ideal, but that is the way the forum script works and I don't know that I can easily implement anything better without finding some other software.
