Hello all,

I have finally finished the lapstrake "Baby Tender" cradle boat designed by Jordan Wooden Boats. I posted a while back that I had plans to build it. The first pregnancy unfortunately did not come through, but we are expecting again for March 26 and everything is fine. She's moving around like a circus performer in there.

So I finished the Baby Tender and cristened it Sunday with some friends during the baby shower for Amy. The woods are Mahogany, Port Orford Cedar, and Flamed Maple. All wood was dimensioned from rough sawn stock and it's really neat to see rough lumber go through the process to become something. I inlaid the name of the boat, "Nod" on the transom in abalone shell. The "o" in "Nod" is the moon if you look closely. Oh, and by the way, I made the bridles that attach to the boat too long, so the blocks right now had to hoist all the way aloft, but I will make a shorter bridle and she should hang more proper in the davits.
