I got a pair of prescription sunglasses last spring ant it's been nice. I went a different route and got NOS US Military aviator frames. Mine were in the original box, stamped 1989. http://www.eyeglasseswarehouse.com/pages/aviator.html It cost about $120 to have polarized polycarbonate lenses cut to fit and installed at a local place. Probably doesn't solve your problem, but it's a consideration.
