Epoxy: An Error Turns Out OK

Hi!
During the build of a stripper canoe with a group, an error was made in mixing the epoxy. The error tool place in mixing the epoxy for the final outside fill coat. Only half the required amount of harder was used. Frotunately we can only work on the canoe one afternoon a week. Thus the work goes slowly.. So after six weeks the epoxy finally did set up completely. We were using MAS epoxy with their slow hardner. The master chemist and epoxy mixer (who shall remain nameless) in our group predicted the fortunate outcome.
Now I would never advocate using the wrong mix, but I did feel our experience worth passing on to you guys.
Keep Smilin',
