Strip: Stand Up Paddle Board *PIC*

Board building is new to me so I am wondering how many layers of glass I should use and how heavy. I would like to get the board as light as possible but stong enough for heavy use. I am thinking the deck will need to be built heavier than the Hull since I will be standing on it.

I have been working on a new design for a stand up Paddleboard. I live far from the ocean in north Idaho but we have a lot of lakes both large and small. I want to make boats for touring, day expeditions, sight seeing and camping. Of course the SUP craze is here so I have developed an expedition SUP for use on the local lakes.

This board is 12.5 feet long 30 inches wide with a displacement hull in the bow and rocker in the tail with a slight concave leading to the single 9 inch fin.

The stapler is used as weight only in this pic. This is a stapleless build with beveled strips.
