Well, here's some news that may liven things up a bit.

Last April, I had an email from a woman saying she was the prop-master for a movie and they were looking for a kayak.

I thought "Right - Spam!" But I said, "sure, I've got just the kayak for you!"

She said, Ben Stiller was directing and starring in a remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty"
and they were going to film him getting into a kayak from a boat, off the coast of Iceland and paddling away.

I still thought it was spam.

Well to make a long story short, turns out is was legitimate. I got a check from "20th Century Fox" productions
and shipped out my Disko Bay sea kayak with two Greenland paddles, to New York City where the production company's
headquarters were.

They said they would have safety divers around Stiller. I told them to put fifty pounds of ballast in the boat to increase stability.
I told them they must have Ben get at least an hour's worth of instruction from a certified kayak instructor.

I told them I had just the guy for a technical advisor and stunt man, a man who had paddled AROUND Iceland, Greg Stamer.
I contacted Greg and he said he was ready to go. I never heard back from them.

I guaranteed 50,000+ kayakers around the world would go to the movie
just to see a real sea kayak in a movie.

I told them they could get a free laugh just having a stunt double do the #1 kayaker's trick, a roll.
And I sent them a link to a YouTube video of a kayaker playing and rolling in big surf.

I said, Greg'll do that for you!

Never heard back.

So, they were supposed to be filming in Iceland in September. I can just imagine Stiller flipping
the kayak and that is that, no kayak in the movie.

The movie is supposed to come out Christmas 2013. I think there is a slim chance the kayak will
make it into the finished film. We'll just have to wait and see.

Anyone, out there have any more information about this film?
