I'm ready to start fibreglassing the Expedition Sport which I have been building.

I had planned to put a sealer coat on the outside of the hull before putting on the cloth.

Will I have to wait for the sealer coat to harden, and then sand it down before starting with the cloth? If that is the case I may bypass the sealer coat so I can get the outside of the hull finished with fill coats in a weekend.
