It is also possible to make them like a car door where they are keyless and use a remote! How about that! Not that it is all that practical. There are many designs of latches out there. I have tried many of them trust me. These are far more superior than any others that I have tried. Some look good but don't last over time. These also don't take up that much space inside your kayak. Four of these will have an extremely difficult time opening mistakenly from gear or anything else.
