I am nearing the end of my Knight heron.The out side deck is covered with 3.1 oz tight weave S glass. The out side hull is covered with 6 oz E glass. The inside I thought I would try to make it strong and light. The wood strips are 3/16 inch. The inside I am covering with 2.2 oz kevlar. It used 3 times more west systems epoxy (207) hardener then the 3.1 glass. Maybe it wont be as light as I was hoping. But man, when the kavlar hardens it is really strong. I will try to put some pics here later. I haven't had good luck with that in the past. I used 3 colors of WRC,red gum,wight pine,spruce,purple hart and redwood and pine pin stripes. I know the hardwoods arnt the lightest.
