: I'm FINALLY getting around to laying my first strips on my Night

It depends somewhat on what glue you are using. If you are using titebond it is helpful to wipe off the excess with a damp cloth as it gets quite hard when cured and is difficult to scrape off the lumps. There will be some tight spots which are almost impossible to get to inside as you go along. There is not much you can do about those areas but scrape and sand afterward. Try not to be too heavy handed with the glue in these areas.

Foaming PU glues scrape off very easily and wiping with a damp cloth will just cause them to foam more, so scrape Poly Urethane glues afterwards.

I'm sure you will get more feedback on the subject.
