: Basically, for someone like me, who weighs 165 pounds, a 19 foot
: surfski is all I need. Unfortunally, most surfskis these days
: are 21 feet, which is better suited for paddlers well over 200
: pounds.

I had an inquiry over the winter for a possible BTD SeaRacer. It's very similar to a surfski in L/W ratio (598 x 43 cm) and other characteristics but has a fully enclosed kayak cockpit. It's about 19-1/2' long. The guy wanted to stretch it to 21 so it would be the same as the surfskis. I talked with Bjorn about it. He basically said "why?!?!" For his weight, 19' (+/-) was ideal for him (sound familiar?). He would need to have the engine of a pro racer to get any additional value of a 21' boat.

The guy had to bail on the project... He forgot to ask his new fiance. Oops.
