: The most effective way to make deck lines usable is to elevate them
: above the deck and pull them tight. In an emergency situation,
: you need to be able to grab the lines without even thinking
: about it and any system that requires dexterity is a liability.
: Loose deck lines reduce the control you have over the boat and
: can make them nearly useless if there's too much slack.

Done a whole bunch of rescues with my boat using this rig with no problems at all.
